Mud fever is a non-contagious skin condition that irritates the horse’s lower legs. You may also hear it referred to as dermatitis, greasy heels and cracked heels.
Kieran will review the causes and treatment of mud fever, why treatment is often not fully effective and why the condition keeps recurring. He will also look at the latest information on leg (feather) mites and how this recurring condition can best be prevented.
