Webinar – Rider Balance with Dr Maria Terese Engell

Postural strategies in riders; why do we see so much asymmetry?

A MUST WATCH for those looking to improve their riding.

If you haven’t heard of Maria Terese Engell – here is a little information that will surely pique your interest!
Maria has a background in ballet, veterinary medicine and research considered a pioneer in her field. She is a leading expert worldwide with her focus on balance and rhythm of the horse and rider. Maria is highly regarded in Scandinavia and is also a key person in the Norwegian Equestrian Federation elite programs, training show jumpers, dressage and para riders.

“It is generally agreed that good riders should be highly symmetric and must continue to develop symmetry in themselves and their horses for optimal performance in riding. On the other hand, asymmetry in riders is recognised as a negative trait. To optimise horse-rider interaction and communication requires increased technical riding skills. How can we improve technical skills with high perfection?”

Maria discusses her background, revelations and research into rider position, balance, symmetry and how we effect our horse in every little move we make. An insightful webinar that causes you to evaluate your own natural riding position and how your “mind is lying to you” but your body position tells the truth.
