    Equine tech to monitor temperature during travel

    VetTrue is an under-tail temperature sensor from EponaBiotec. These sensors transmit to mobile devices and allow large number of horses to be monitored continuously without having to take rectal temperatures which can be dangerous, impractical, and impossible to do often during travel!

    I first used these sensors for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic test event in Tokyo in 2019. The sensors attach under the tail as the temperature here is a reliable indicator of whole-body temperature, and they can be used as an early warning for increased temperature which is . . .
