    Only Use Antibiotics When Really Needed

    We are in the midst of World Antimicrobial Awareness Week from November 18th to 24th and with that in mind we felt this message was important...

    As horse owners we have a duty to protect our horses from resistance to antibiotics so that our horses can continue to be protected in the long term.  This means we must try not to use them unnecessarily.  There has been a trend of owners requesting antibiotics at the first sign of trouble and Antimicrobial Awareness Week wants to raise awareness about this problem as they want us to avoid . . .
