    David to appear on Reddit

By Helen Stock on 7 February 2022 News

Dr David Marlin has been given the honour of being the first equestrian expert to be invited on the Reddit platform to give an online audio presentation about his work as an equine scientist.

Audio discussions are very new to Reddit and they have asked David to be the first to present to their equestrian community. The team that run the Equestrian division of Reddit canvassed the Equestrian subreddit members on whom they would like to hear as guests at their new Reddit Talk events this year. Several members enthusiastically suggested David!

    More about Reddit
David will be speaking to a subreddit community – Equestrian (https://www.reddit.com/r/Equestrian).  The community is Reddit’s home for all horse people and fans of equestrian sports.  They discuss everything related to the love of horses, equestrian culture, and competition. They have approximately 45,000 subscribed members.

Recently, Reddit created a new live audio facility known as “Reddit Talk”, which enables subreddits to host live voice discussions with one or more guest speakers and an effectively unlimited number of listeners. Listeners can put questions to the guest speakers, either by sending written notes to the host or by requesting permission to speak their questions directly.

You can hear the talk LIVE on Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/Equestrian) at 6pm UK time, on Sunday 13th February 2022.

How can we assess quality material for the care and management of our horses, in a sea of online misinformation?

Equine scientist Dr David Marlin will be our guest speaker in a live-audio, interactive #RedditTalk event.

    🗓 Sunday, 13 February 2022
    ⏰ 18h00 UTC (13h00 EST / 10h00 PST)
