We are excited to have booked Dr Barbara Murphy to talk to us about Chronobiology and how lighting and exercise cue equine health and performance.
David and Barbara had previously discussed how light affects horses and not many people, including international riders who travel their horses worldwide do not necessarily understand the dramatic effects it can have on our horses, their well-being and performance.
So, after catching up with Barbara at the recent ISES conference at Hartpury we managed to pin Barbara down and book her in for a webinar in early September.
So, don’t miss your opportunity to find out more about how the horse’s body clock, known as the circadian system, regulates almost all aspects of physiology and behaviour. Barbara will be discussing how lighting and exercise cue equine health and performance. Exercise and feeding times, keep the horse’s body synchronised to the environment, therefore knowledge of optimum lighting and exercise to support the body clock can help mitigate jet lag effects in horses.
